Rainbow Road is one of the main shopping and tourist areas in Reykjavik, Iceland. Here you'll find the vibrantly painted Rainbow Road, which leads up to Hallgrimskikja Church. Locals in Iceland painted the street in honor of LGBTQ acceptance, and it's remained a permanent fixture of Reykjavik since 2019.
The road, celebrated for its colorful crosswalk, stretches across the street, painted in a spectrum of colors that defy the overcast skies overhead. The vivid hues of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet seem to glow even under the faint winter sunlight.
